Slice orange into wedges and press cloves into rind. Drop into pan with all other ingredients and heat on low for around 2 hours. (Be careful not to let the temperature get too high as the alcohol will burn off. Keep it to a low simmer.)
Once everything has heated and combined, strain into mugs and garnish accordingly.
