3.14 Pie Cocktails for Pi Day!

It’s Pi Day, and that means celebrating everything great about the irrational number that you learned about in high school and now have probably totally forgotten. It allows your phone to send text messages though, so it is practical!

To celebrate the beauty of pi, here are 3.14159 transcendently tasty pie cocktails. Also, here’s a GIF of what pi — the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter — actually looks like. See how a circle with a diameter of one has a circumference of a little over three (i.e. 3.14/1)? Who says you can’t learn while you drink, damn it?!

1. Boston Cream Pie Martini

First up is the Boston Cream Pie Martini, and you don’t have to do the math to figure out this drink is bomb. Actually, you’ll have to do a little math with ingredient measurements, but after that, it’s just sipping on tastiness.

2. Banana Cream Pie Shots

With banana liqueur, melon liqueur, and pineapple juice, these electric-green Banana Cream Pie Shots are guaranteed to make your mouth water. Add 3.14 centigrams of pink sugar if you’re pounding these shots for Pi Day.

3. Apple Pie On The Rocks

The Apple Pie on the Rocks is a seriously mouthwatering treat with a combination of vanilla vodka, cinnamon whiskey, and apple juice. It’s hard to make any kind of pi reference here, but trust us, you want to try this drink.

.14159. Caramel Apple Pie Shots

Finally, we have our little Caramel Apple Pie Shots. And for these little bad boys, we’ve figured out how to put exactly .14159 the amount of booze that’s in a normal-sized Caramel Apple Pie Shot into these shooters using sine calculations, Bayesian statistics, and the Special Theory of Relativity. Wait, that’s a load of bullsh*t; they’re just tiny.
