The Jack Horner is one of those moderately difficult mixology cocktails that anybody looking to test their drink-making skills should try out. This complex bourbon cocktail recipe combines cynar, Cocchi Rose Aperitif, plum bitters, saline, grapefruit, and a cherry, and it's so good it'll basically bring you right to fruity cocktail heaven.
2 oz. (60ml) Bourbon
½ oz. (15ml) Cynar
½ oz. (15ml) Cocchi Rose Aperitif
2 dashes Plum Bitters
2 drops Saline
1 drop Activator
Garnish: Grapefruit peel, cherry
1. Combine ingredients in a mixing glass and stir well with ice to chill.
2. Strain into a coupe glass and express a grapefruit peel on the edge of the glass.
3. Garnish with a cherry/grapefruit peel skewer.
