Now, as far as the background on this LA Water cocktail is concerned, it's based on — drum roll please — the L.A. river. As Barmixxo notes, "[The] LA Water drink cocktail is based on the famous LA River. If you've ever visited LA or specifically, LA River, then you would know that the coloration is almost dark greenish." By the way, Barmixxo is being kind when it refers to the drink as "dark greenish," 'cause it looks like goblin barf. Taste wise, however, this drink is pretty awesome thanks to its unbelievable combination of liquors and liqueurs. The L.A. Water mixes up vodka, gin, tequila, rum, Triple Sec, melon liqueur, raspberry liqueur, blue curacao, and sweet and sour, and is garnished with an orange wedge and cherry. LA WATER 1/2 oz. (15ml) Vodka 1/2 oz. (15ml) Gin 1/2 oz. (15ml) Tequila 1/2 oz. (15ml) Rum 1/2 oz. (15ml) Triple Sec 1/2 oz. (15ml) Melon Liqueur 1/2 oz. (15ml) Raspberry Liqueur 1/2 oz. (15ml) Blue Curacao 1/2 oz. (15ml) Sweet & Sour Garnish: Orange Wedge/Cherry PREPARATION 1. Add ice to tall glass before pouring over vodka, gin, tequila, rum, triple sec, sweet and sour, melon liqueur, raspberry liqueur and blue curaçao. 2. Garnish with an orange wedge and a cherry.
